Zero interest, payment-deferred loans for qualified homeowners

Down Payment

Renters can receive up to 50% of the down payment to help purchase their own home. Cannot exceed 10% of the purchase price.

Home Repairs

Receive loan help with home repairs, such as new siding, roofing, windows, septic systems, wells, insulation, furnaces and more!

Rental Units

Low-interest loans that are amortized for up to 10 years are available for landlords who need to rehabilitate rental units.

Yes, the owners will be able to select their own contractor as long as they carry liability insurance. It is also necessary to have at least three contractor bids.

Yes, as the CDBG program only offers zero-percent, payment deferred loans at this time. No grants (i.e. money that does not need to be paid back) are currently available through the program.

Yes, the land contract owner will also need to sign the necessary paperwork.

Work that was done before the loan was approved is not eligible for reimbursement.

While you can do your own work, you will not be paid for your own labor. You will also need to provide evidence showing skill and ability to perform the necessary work, and all materials must be purchased and installed before receiving payment.
